CNC Routing at JM Joinery

Precision cutting for trade, manufacturers & one-offs

At JM Joinery we don’t just build with timber – we machine it properly.

Our in-house CNC router lets us cut, drill and shape sheet materials with repeatable accuracy, whether you need a single prototype or a full production run. We combine proper joinery knowledge with CNC programming, so parts actually fit and work in the real world – not just on a screen.

What we offer

  • CNC cutting & routing of panels, components and parts

  • Drilling & pocketing for hinges, fittings and fixings

  • Engraving & lettering for branding, signage and panels

  • Batch production for repeat jobs and regular trade orders

  • Jigs, templates & tooling cut to your drawings or ours

If it can be drawn, we can usually cut it.

Materials we work with

We regularly machine:

  • MDF and moisture-resistant MDF

  • Plywood (birch, hardwood and softwood)

  • Chipboard and laminated boards

  • Solid timber components

  • Compact laminate and similar sheet products

If you’re unsure about a specific material, just ask.

Who it’s for

Our CNC routing service is ideal for:

  • Joiners & carpenters needing accurate components without tying up their own workshop

  • Shopfitters & builders who want panels, screens and furniture parts ready to assemble

  • Kitchen & cabinet makers needing repeatable carcass parts and doors

  • Sign makers & designers who need precise cutting from digital files

  • DIY & one-off projects – one sheet or one hundred, no problem

Trade and domestic enquiries welcome.

Work from your drawings – or we’ll help you get there

We can work from:

  • DXF / DWG and other CAD files

  • SketchUp exports

  • Simple dimensioned drawings or sketches (we’ll convert to CNC-ready files)

If you don’t have a CAD drawing, we can help put one together and advise on clearances, fixings and practical details so the finished job goes together smoothly.

Typical CNC jobs we handle

  • Cabinet and carcass parts

  • Decorative wall panels and feature screens

  • Branded panels, engraved signs and logos

  • Door sets and window components

  • Furniture parts, curves and patterns

  • Custom jigs and fixtures for other workshops

If you’re not sure whether it’s possible, send it over and we’ll tell you straight.

  • Joinery-led thinking – we understand how things are built and installed

  • Consistent accuracy – ideal for repeat work and trade supply

  • Time savings – arrive on site or in your workshop ready to assemble
